In 2007 I created a series of 21 photographs called “The ARTIfacts.”  I arranged items that I had collected from my travels around the world and photographed them in a collage format.  Each photograph represents several “close to my heart” objects as a history of my journey.  The series is printed using archival pigment on canvas.  You will see money from Afghanistan, a basket from Bali, two coins from China, a hand carved gourd from Machu Picchu Peru, an old painted fan from Spain, a ceramic vase from Costa Rica, and the Buddha from a yard sale in Ojai, to name only a few.
